 Audiologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Audiologist specializes in communication science and disorders. They also diagnose into hearing difficulties and with balance disorders. They might also measure into any hearing loss and see what the problem is that occurred into it happening. They can also get treatment but with that it can lead to some into disability.

Salary: $69,720 of median annual salary
            $33.52 hourly median wage

Education:

To become an audiologist you mast have bachelors degree.


Reflection: I would like to become this because I have family members who have hearing loss and like to see what can cause this.

Allergist / Immunologist
Duties and Responsibilities:

An allergist / immunologist they do internal medicine and pediatrics. The allergist / immunologist they are allowed to work in hospitals, in private office and if not in training. In order to become this they would have to be in training for two years for allergy and immunology.

Salary: $171,223 up to 4 years and $43,995 for up to 8 years

Education:

To become an allergist / immunologist you would have to have 4 years of undergraduate study. As well with a 3 year medical school and also 2 years of allergy and immunology training.



Reflection: I would not like to be this at all because I would not know how to help them if they have an allergy because I myself have allergies. I would know how it feels to have ane allergy but I would not know there treatments

Acupuncture
Duties and Responsibilities:

Acupuncture is someone who helps you with any illness and condition. They also help with any physical, mental, emotional condition to help prepare you with any treatment. Acupunctures also help you with therapy. Acupuncture’s may also help you achieve high balance and wellness in your life. They also try to help you relax. They may also insert needles into your body at times to help you with your functions.

Salary: $45,000 up to a year and up

Education:

To be acupuncture after finishing the courses as of what you would have to take you would have to be licensed as well. You would at least need to have up to 2,000 hours or more of training. This training would at least take up to 3-4 years to be complete. If graduate you would need an additional states license and also have to get an exam done to become acupuncture.


Reflection: I would not like to be acupuncture because I would not know how to help the patients with what they would need. Another reason I would not a acupuncture is because I cannot deal with any types of needles because that is one thing I do not like at all.

Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.

Average Salary: $90,000 - $150,000

Educational Requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmologist program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.



Reflection: I would not like to be this. The reason being is because I wouldn’t like to look at people’s eyes all day to what has to be check.  The one thing that I would like to do is to help them in any way that I can to prevent them from something happening to there eye.

Psychiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities

Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in the problems of mental illness. As physicians, they are licensed to use a wide variety of treatment sand may write prescriptions. Psychiatrists may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities. Their duties include:
·         Designing treatment programs.
·         Conducting psychotherapy session.
·         Prescribing potent mental illness drugs.
·         Supervising electrotherapy treatments.
·         Conducting research.
·         Leading a team of mental health care provide

Average Salary: $90,000 - $200,000
Educational Requirements: Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. degrees



In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.



Reflection: Yes I would like to be a psychiatrist because I would love, enjoy, and dedicate time to this process of helping others.  I would also consider being this because I enjoy helping others with what they need help in in any way I can. I would even make sure they get the treatment they need and therapy, also tell them there options of what they have for treatment. Also to make sure they know everything that is being explained to them so that they would know what to do.
